If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

Well it has been a totally crappy start to the year!

As of today Ozzy has gone completely blind. The biggest problem is that he cannot see to eat. I have tried tickling his nose with food but he freaks out then swims away and bumps into objects. Just to get his attention I had to tickle him with my finger.

I am so sad, he is such a young and beautiful blue fishy. Unless I figure out a way to hand feed him or through some miracle he gets some vision back, I'm afraid he will die of starvation in a week :(

Was going by the pet shop today. Mum wanted to know how much the poodles were. She's promised me a poodle when I build my new house cause of my allergies. She plans to buy from a breeder, but was interested in the price ($1000, it you're wondering).

As we stood at the counter a girl offered us two just-born kittens. Someone had dumped them at someone's doorstep and being a Sunday they couldn't find a vet open. RSPCA does not take in day-old baby kittens for whatever reason. So they ended up at the pet shop in an ice cream container.

I can't take them because little kittens are in danger with a male cat (and Mr. Jiji is one grumpy old tom). One girl at the shop phoned another pet shop to ask if they have any kitten milk (apparently you can get some if a cat rejects her kittens) then decided to drive over there to see for herself. I called my vet but he was closed too. I really hope the pet shop girl found some kitten milk (she could try supermarket milk for older kittens, better something than nothing). She plans to take them home then hand them in to an animal hospital tomorrow morning if they survive, but she was hoping someone might have a new mum cat or some other solution. She was even trying people who give kittens in to sell.

To be honest, without proper milk those kittens don't stand a chance. Why did those horrible people rip the little kittens from their mum just after they were born? How hard is it to put them in a box with newspaper and their MUM for 8 weeks then take them to the RSPCA (or a pet shop)? I hope those people get a slap of karma very soon. Whoever they are, they are totally DESPICABLE!!!

I just saw a preview of the next SGA episode. An armored alien reveals itself to Jackson. DO NOT WATCH THIS CLIP! DO NOT WATCH THIS CLIP! DO NOT WATCH THIS CLIP! MAJOR HUGE YOU'LL-SHIT-BRICKS SPOILER!!! *faints*

SGA has been quite good this season (apart from one episode in particular). I'm really disappointed it's canceled because it's been starting to take off again with some really entertaining episodes and scenes.

Meh!
Since it was such a beautiful day today I took Minnie for a walk (twice). I was wearing a hat but the back of my neck and my chest got fried. Thank you dermatographic urticaria, for instilling thy legacy of swollen red rash upon my virgin skin, untouched by the sun's harsh rays over the winter solstice. Your itching redness...

...oh shit, it's raining. My WASHING!!!!!

EDIT: F*&$@% Melbourne weather.

I bought two new DS games yesterday, but returned one this morning. It was bad...just bad. It's called Contact. Basically a Professor from another planet is being chased by bad guys and enlists the help of a young man to find some missing bits of his ship (or something).

It starts off with the Professor (with an uncanny resemblance to Mr. Miyagi) asking you some boring questions, then some annoying music. Then some kid is sleeping in a park and having a wet dream. Hahaha, his dream is about lots of cute girls floating in a river (or something).

So the Professor lands and wakes "Terry" up. He tells the kid to follow him into the spaceship, which he does without hesitation. They fly off, but get shot down and land on a pirate ship. The professor makes a room for the kid in the spaceship (creepy) and encourages him to have a bath in the tub (real creepy). The kid has to cook and feed the pet cat and at the same time run around on an island slapping weird creatures around (reaaaaaal creepy). The instruction book is very limited and the Professor doesn't do much but tell the kid to have a bath and relax.

Let's take a look at what Wikipedia says about the game:

"Helping the Professor is the only way that Terry will be able to get home. However, as the game progresses the Professor's intentions are slowly thrown deeper and deeper into question."

I rest my case.
